FC Internazionale memang telah memperoleh lampu hijau dari Manchester City untuk menggaet Nigel De Jong, tapi negosiasi personal dengan sang gelandang bertahan rupanya berjalan alot.

Dengan kontrak yang tinggal berlaku setahun lagi, pemain Belanda itu masuk daftar jual Citizens di bursa musim panas ini. Seturut kedatangan Jack Rodwell dari Everton, kepergian De Jong dari Etihad Stadium tampak kian pasti.

Inter sendiri disebut-sebut berada di pole position untuk menampung eks personel Hamburg SV itu. Namun upaya mereka terganjal dalam perundingan gaji dengan De Jong.
Dilansir Sportmediaset, La Beneamata berharap De Jong mau dibayar lebih rendah dari penghasilannya di City, yaitu €3,5 juta per tahun. Tapi sang pemain enggan mengiyakan tawaran tersebut.
Sebagai alternatif jika gagal merekrut De Jong, Inter kabarnya mengincar Paulinho milik Corinthians dan punggawa FC Porto, Fernando.

Carlos Tevez Hanya Ingin Ke Milan

Kia Joorabchian, agen Carlos Tevez, mengatakan kliennya hanya ingin pindah ke Serie A dan mengenakan kostum AC Milan. Pernyataan ini dikemukakan menyusul terhentinya perundingan transfer Carlos Tevez ke Paris St-Germain. Juru runding Manchester City dan Paris St-Germain tidak melanjutkan pembicaraan, setelah Tevez mengatakan tidak akan bermain di Ligue 1. Sempat muncul kabar Paris St-Germain sepakat membeli Tevez dari Manchester City dengan harga €37 juta. Leonardo, director general Paris St-Germain, juga juga siap menyodorkan kontrak dengan gaji €11 juta per tahun. "Tidak ada kesepakatan transfer Carlos Tevez," ujar Leonardo kepada Gazzetta dello Sport. Kini, tinggal dua klub Serie A yang berpotensi memboyong Tevez; Inter dan AC Milan. Namun Joorabchian mengatakan; "Saya tidak pernah berbicara dengan Inter, atau menemui perwakilannya." Ia juga mengatakan Tevez hanya akan berunding dengan klub yang diinginkan. Sebelum Natal, wapres Milan Adriano Galliani dan Tevez telah mencapai kesepakatan, tapi Man City menolak penawaran I Rossoneri.

Ancelotti membuat pihak Tevez bersedia negosiasi dengan PSG.

Perwakilan Carlos Tevez, Kia Joorabchian, mengungkapkan, pihaknya sedang melakukan negosiasi dengan manajemen Paris Saint-Germain mengenai kemungkinan transfer penyerang asal Argentina itu ke klub Ligue 1 Prancis tersebut. Tevez telah menjadi bidikan AC Milan dan Inter dalam bursa transfer Januari. Namun Milan untuk sementara waktu mundur dari perburuan, dan Inter mengalami kesulitan untuk memenuhi harga yang diinginkan Manchester City. Menurut Joorabchian, biasanya Tevez tidak pernah menjadikan Ligue 1 sebagai tempat melanjutkan karirnya. Hanya saja, kehadiran Carlo Ancelotti membuat sikap Tevez berubah. “Saya hanya bisa bilang satu hal: jika Carlo Ancelotti tidak melatih PSG, kami tidak akan ada di Paris untuk negosiasi. Saya kira dia merupakan salah satu pelatih terbaik di dunia,” ungkap Joorabchian kepada Le Parisien. Penasehat Tevez ini juga mengakui negosiasi sedang berlangsung, namun belum menemui kata sepakat. Banyak faktor yang harus dipikirkan sebelum mengambil keputusan. “Kami sedang melakukan pembicaraan dengan PSG,” kata Joorabchian. “Saya tidak ingin memberikan detilnya. De Jong Mulai Tak betah di City

Nigel De Jong mulai berpikir untuk cabut dari Etihad karena kerap dicadangkan. Terlebih dengan penawaran gaji dalam proposal perpanjangan kontrak yang ditawarkan Manchester City, tak sesuai dengan harapannya.

De Jong digaji 55 ribu pounds per pekan dan sempat meminta kenaikan haji sebesar dua kali lipat. Sedangkan, seperti diberitakan Daily Mail, manajemen The Citizens hanya berkenan membayarnya 100 ribu pounds per pekan.

Kontrak De Jong akan habis pada musim panas mendatang. Dan dengan keadaan ini, bukan tidak mungkin pria 27 tahun ini bakal mencari klub baru musim depan. Real Madrid pernah dikabarkan tertarik memboyongnya ke Bernabeu.

Ketimbang memainkan dirinya, manajer Roberto Mancini kerap memasang duet Gareth Barry dan Yaya Toure di sektor tengah. De Jong baru diturunkan apabila salah satu dari antara mereka berhalangan main atau ketika Mancini melakukan rotasi pemain pada suatu laga.

New Aston Villa midfielder Stephen Ireland: I felt unwanted at Manchester City

Aston Villa's new signing Stephen Ireland has admitted that he didn’t feel valued at former club Manchester City and believes that James Milner will have to fight for a regular starting position at Eastlands.

The Irish midfielder joined the midlands club as part of a deal that allowed Milner to be yet another addition to Manchester City this summer.

Ireland believes he got the better end of the deal after he revealed that Roberto Mancini didn’t give him a fair chance.

"I did feel unwanted at Manchester City” he told reporters.

"I was banging my head against a brick wall despite what I had done in training.

"I just went with the reserves, worked hard in the gym and kept as active as possible."

The City Player of the Season in 2009 added: "Without a shadow of doubt the situation I found myself in will happen a lot at Manchester City with all the high-profile players they have at the club.

"At Manchester City sitting on the bench I didn't feel part of the team. I was neither happy nor sad if we lost.

"I'm still young and hopefully Villa will get the best of me and I am now looking forward to the season."

"I can see why he wanted to go to Manchester City."

The 23-year-old midfielder thinks that Milner may struggle to become an established member of the City team but he admits he understands why he made the move.

"I can see why he wanted to go to Manchester Citym" he added.

"He can see the attraction of the move and the opportunity to become more established and become a superstar.

"But he faces a challenge of holding down a regular first-team place.

"I may have been forced out but I couldn't be more happy to be at Aston Villa.

"Richard Dunne is a good example of what can happen after leaving Manchester City to join Villa.

"A year on I can see how happy he is at Villa and I'm hoping that I will be as happy in a year's time.

"Richard was a huge part of Manchester City and it was a great shock to see him leave.

"It was as big a shock to him as everyone else but he could not have come to a better club as he proved with his performances last season.

"For me this is a positive, as this is exactly I want it to be."

Villa's caretaker manager Kevin MacDonald has already had experience working alongside the midfielder, during his stint as assistant coach to the then Republic of Ireland manager Steve Staunton.

MacDonald believes Ireland, who is due to make his first appearance against Newcastle on Sunday, is a positive addition to the squad.

"Stephen Ireland is a very talented player," he said.

"He is different from James Milner who is a power player.

"James has the drive to break the game up. He probably doesn't get into the box as much as Stephen Ireland. I think he glides across the pitch.

"I remember the first time I saw him training with the Republic of Ireland.

"I just thought I hadn't seen the kid before. He glides past people and rides tackles easily.

"His awareness of where his team-mates are on the pitch is fantastic and his choice on the weight of pass is one of his real plusses."

The Scotsman, who is still unsure whether his future as Aston Villa manager remains for the long term, is willing to wait for club owner Randy Lerner’s decision.

"It's been nice so far but I am a reasonably intelligent man that I would know whether to accept or decline the job.

"I have no problem with the timescale as Mr Lerner will be looking seriously at what he wants to do."

Toure: I'm sure I'll return to Barcelona

New Manchester City signing Yaya Toure has admitted he was sad to leave Barcelona but said he will return to the Catalan club one day.

City paid Barça around £27.5m for the defensive midfielder, who will reportedly become the highest-paid player in the Premier League. Nevertheless, Toure, who will link up with his brother Kolo at Eastlands, revealed the decision to leave Camp Nou was a difficult one.

"The decision to leave was complicated because Barça is the team of my whole life," he told radio station RAC-1. "It was a sad decision because everybody wants to come to Barça and I have had to leave, but not playing has been difficult and it wouldn't have been normal to just sit on the bench and pick up the money."
"I wanted to bring more joy to the fans, but life is like that. Barça is a great club with the best players in the world, but I have played less in this third season, which for me has been difficult."
Nevertheless, Toure hopes to return to Barcelona one day. "I don't feel that I'm away from Barça and I'm sure I'll go back one day," he said.
